SMPS-LA Education Event
- Friday, October 27th, 2017
- 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
48 East Holly Street
Pasadena, CA 91103
Come join us as our favorite InDesign guru schools us in the TAO of ID! Users from all experience levels, including seasoned publishing veterans, have benefited from Jonathan’s in-depth exploration of InDesign FUN-damentals. This intensive workshop will focus on the simple steps we can take to set up a project for optimum efficiency and flexibility down the road, as well as an in-depth exploration into making InDesign work for you. When the proposal deadline is quickly approaching and your “helpers” want you to make some “minor last minute adjustments”, wouldn’t it finally be so nice to be able to accommodate all of these changes while minimizing time and maximizing sanity?
Specific topics that will be covered include:
● I found this beautiful InDesign template online….but it’s in A4!
● My new InDesign template has no master pages…grrr
● Auto-Numbering – Not Just for Page Numbers!
● Taking an Institutional Form, and Making it Your Own!
● InDesign Tables – Great in theory, terrible in execution!
● [NEW!] How to create a sustainable and viable SYSTEM for customized & tailored brochures.
Jonathan has graciously agreed to take a look at any InDesign files you may want to optimize! Please send all questions and InDesign Package zip files to Cindy Ionita. Please also feel free to bring questions and examples to the class if it's difficult to explain in an email.
