Arup is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Specialist in our vibrant and growing downtown Los Angeles office. In this role you will work with local, regional, and global leaders to create and implement winning, client-focused strategies and high-impact collateral and proposals.

About our Los Angeles Office and the Role:
In Los Angeles, we are best known for our work at LAX, the Broad Museum, and LACMA expansion, the Spruce Goose transformation for Google, numerous hospital complexes and various highway and bridge projects from our new office in Wilshire Grand Center in the heart of the downtown financial district.
Our Los Angeles office is nearly 300 people strong, focused on buildings, transportation, and consulting projects. Our marketing professionals work in a collaborative and energetic environment to support each other and senior staff locally, and across our Americas region, in their ongoing marketing, business development and communication activities. As you help drive quality growth in Los Angeles, you will serve as a critical connection between regional, global, and local strategies, collaborating with the 50-person marketing and communications team in Arup’s Americas region.
In this role, you will develop marketing collateral for our Los Angeles office, with a focus on professional, compliant proposals and requests for information, tailored resumes and project sheets, ensuring that documents reflect the quality and brand of the firm. You will help create winning strategies for key pursuits. You will help maintain CRM system for leads tracking and relationship management. You may assist with the coordination of events, seminars, and conferences.
This is a hands-on role, requiring the professional to operate at multiple levels – engaging in visioning and strategy discussions and actively translating those discussions into actions, proposals, collateral, and events. The role includes:
• Collaborating in the preparation of information and materials for submittals, requests for information and proposals.
• Coordinating and preparing qualification packages, tailored resumes and proposal responses, including forms and specialized documents.
• Developing and updating marketing materials, including project sheets, resumes and other collateral.
• Maintaining our client relationship management system and other databases.
• Supporting and coordinating events, seminars, and conferences.
You excel at setting priorities and meeting deadlines. You are comfortable talking to staff at all levels of seniority, and will be a natural fit leading proposal kick-off meetings. You have excellent time management / prioritization skills, strong written English language skills, and exceptional attention to detail. You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, especially InDesign, Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Your positive attitude is as important as any specific skills you might bring to this role.
You have a bachelor’s degree and excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills. Ideally, you bring 6+ years of experience as a marketing specialist in the A/E/C industry, preferably in the public-sector realm or perhaps in another service industry. Previous experience with large-scale prime proposals a plus.
It would be great if you have experience with Microsoft CRM, but we will train you on this powerful system at the heart of our marketing program. Involvement with local marketing and or A/E/C organizations a plus.
