THE LEONARDO ANNUAL AWARD PROGRAM
Highlights From the 2022 Leonardo & MCA Awards Banquet
The SMPS/LA Leonardo & MCA Awards Banquet returned in 2022 with a BANG! Set under the stars at the beautiful FIG HOUSE in Los Angeles' Highland Park district, the banquet brought together honorees, esteemed guests, and many many friends we have not seen since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down in-person gatherings back in 2020. Our INDUSTRY HONOREE, The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, touched all of us with their immense joy and gratitude for being recognized by SMPS/LA for their amazing dedicated and hard work to bring DMH facilities online throughout the sprawling LA County area. Our LEONARDO AWARD RECIPIENT, Deena Widran-Weiner, AIA of Degenkolb Engineers, inspired us all with her personal story of finding her path to triumph in the face of adversity -- all while taking the meandering road less traveled. Relive this wonderful night with the highlights below provided by our Chapter's In-Kind Photography/Video Sponsors -- Paul Turang (still photos) and Jun Tang (video).
ENJOY !!!
ABOUT The Leonardo Award
The Leonardo Award is the heart of the Leonardo Awards program. Our chapter founders understood the importance of taking time to publicly recognize accomplished marketing professionals whose achievements elevate the profession. This tradition began in 1981 and continues to stand as the chapter's most prestigious honor.
The coveted Leonardo Award is given annually to an individual who embodies the character and spirit of Leonardo da Vinci, the renowned Renaissance man who was accomplished as a painter, sculptor, inventor, and writer. As da Vinci was considered a visionary amongst his peers, so are Leonardo Award recipients.
