About the Marketing Communications Awards Program

The SMPS/LA Marketing Communications Awards (MCA) recognize excellence in marketing, communications, and business development across the architecture, engineering, and construction industry in Greater Los Angeles. Adapted from SMPS National’s long-standing awards program, the local MCA honors the work of professionals and firms whose marketing efforts support business goals, strengthen brand identity, and contribute to the success of the built environment.

This program showcases the role marketing and business development professionals play in shaping how firms tell their stories, engage clients and communities, and position themselves in a competitive marketplace.

The Honor of an SMPS/MCA

Receiving an SMPS/LA Marketing Communications Award is a peer-recognized achievement within the AEC industry. Award recipients are acknowledged by a jury of experienced marketing, communications, and business development professionals who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of the AEC market.

What the Judges Look For
