Dr. Paula Stamp Named SMPS Fellow!

June 29, 2022: Dr. Paula Stamp Named SMPS Fellow!

SMPS/LA’s Dr. Paula Stamp, PhD, MBA, FSMPS, CPSM was one of eight people nationwide recently named to this year’s class of the prestigious SMPS Fellows Program. Dr. Stamp joins an exclusive group composed of individuals who have made exceptional contributions to SMPS and to the marketing and business development profession in the AEC industries. As a Fellow, she will provide insight, ideas, programs, and mentoring for SMPS as well as teach, write, and speak to advance our profession in the AEC industries.

Dr. Stamp is the Vice President of Economic Development for Clayco—a full-service, turnkey real estate, architecture, engineering, design-build, and construction firm—and has more than 20 years of experience in the AEC industries. She is an At-Large Director on the national SMPS Society Board and the Past President of SMPS/LA. Dr. Stamp was recognized for her professional excellence and mentorship in 2009 when she received SMPS/LA’s highest honor—the Leonardo Award.

Her positive impact on others goes beyond the marketing and business development profession. Dr. Stamp has dedicated time to the YWCA Glendale & Pasadena for over 20 years to further its mission of empowering women and racial justice, including co-chairing the YWCA Women for Racial Justice Breakfast for three consecutive years. Dr. Stamp also sits on the board of A Community of Friends, a nonprofit developer with a mission to end homelessness by providing high-quality permanent supportive housing for people with mental health challenges.

SMPS Fellows are selected by a Fellows Jury that reviews detailed applications documenting candidates’ qualifications, including professional accomplishments, SMPS participation, and perception of the meaning of the Fellow designation. Dr. Stamp and other members of the Class of 2022 will be honored during SMPS’s annual conference, Amplify AEC, taking place next month in Atlanta.
